I like to call it down time. Recharge time. Time to get the hands busy and allow the mind wander where it will, and rest a little.

So this is what you might find me making when I'm not writing, which seems to be fairly often lately.

Carnelian is reputed to help one find focus amid confusion, while citrine dissolves negative energies and can be helpful in situations of stress or anxiety. I'm thinking now I've made this I should actually wear it while working on my WIP. I could certainly use some clarity!

I referred often to the healing energies of crystals in my recent novel, and found the research for this very interesting. I also have a number of friends who've consulted natural healers and psychics about various problems in their lives and have a strong belief in these areas of 'alternative' healing.

Do you believe in the healing and grounding power of stones? And in psychic abilities? Or are you a happy sceptic?

Oh and by the way, the lie in my last post? The whole thing was posed as a riddle and a play on words, and the answer really depends on reader perspective...but the main lie was that I told a single lie. Depending on your perspective I either told no lies at all...or I told several, all to do with whether you view obsessive recycling as interesting quirk, annoying habit or positive character trait! And whether you think I am guilty of bloviation. But I really am a 'greenie'. :-)
