This name represents the journey I'm on, ever learning and improving (I hope!). Every hard-won stair tread teaches me something new, and whenever I reach a new landing, I try every door I can see. One day, I'm hoping one will open for me. (one did in September 2010, when I became represented by the charming Sophie Hamley of Cameron Creswell Agency. And another in 2012 when publisher Momentum contracted my book, Dark Child.)
Oh, and because 'Reluctant Muse' and 'Strangling the Muse' and a million other very cool writerly blog names had already been taken.
