Crusaders present arms! First challenge post

Being a literary construct,
I don't have any interesting quirks
or annoying habits...
and bloviate I will not,
save to reveal here what few know;
I save even the tiniest pieces
of aluminium foil
until I am near a recycling bin
which can properly house them,
thinking this will really help
protect my beloved Earth,
from its watery depths
to fuliguline shallows,
from soaring mountain tops
to the humblest blade of grass
on a single isolated plain,
and the rabbit which eats it.

I have told a single lie.
Can you guess it?
If not, then be patient,
For next post I'll confess it.

What challenge? What the $#%^?
If confused click here.

This is great - not sure of the lie, although I'm sure you do have interesting quirks, even if it's just the tin foil thing!

I'd say the tinfoil is an interesting quirk. This is a fun entry though! The lie eludes me.

Holy friggin' heck! (My Utah swearing is tumbling out of me--watch out). That is one great poem. I really mean that. *claps*

I'd guess it's the no quirk thing, since saving itty-bitty pieces of aluminum is a quirk in of itself. Am I right? Am I?

I think the lie is that you HAVE NO interesting quirks or annoying habits... teehee... nice post!

Hello Fellow Crusader. Nice to meet you. I too believe your tall tale is the fact you have no interesting quirks. Great and entertaining contribution to the Challenge.

Hello fellow crusader! I am a tad bit late, the whole house has been sick all week. So, I just thought I would pop in and just say Hi! :D

you have an interesting quirk or annoying habit...we all do...it's all a matter of perception!

What Ann said! (or whoever said it first! :) You do have quirks and habits... that's your lie! Cheers!

Hi Adina! Great post, I'm glad someone is following the Crusading directions. Yikes. Guess I better change my post, huh? As for the lie: Do you really have rabbits in Australia??? hahahhahahha

Hi Adina, I can imagine you collecting tinfoil. It is so important to do our bit for this planet.

Hope you can join me for a spot of collective writing starting this weekend:

You have to have an interesting quirk or habit! Everyone does. So, is that your lie? Good luck and Happy Crusading!

Amanda Milner said...

Yes, I agree with everyone else that your lie is you don't have any interesting quirks. Fun poem!

So nobody thinks I was also guilty of bloviating? Such a long, wordy sentence? The general pomposity?

;-)
